Lasallian Mission Office
Campus Ministry Unit
"Faith is a reality touching our whole selves – our minds (convictions), our hands and will (committed action) and our hearts (trust). Christian faith then, is not something fragmented. It is a living way of life that integrates our minds, wills and hearts with its doctrine, morals and worship within a sustaining community of fellow disciples of Christ."
Rationale
As a catholic center of education and inspired by the charism of St. John Baptist De La Salle, DLSC responds to Jesus' call to discipleship through the Campus Ministry Unit (CMU). With the Gospel truths as ultimate guide and inspiration. CMU takes care of the faith formation of the DLSC community. Its spiritual development programs and activities, grounded in the tradition of the Roman Catholic Church and inspired by the vision of St. John Baptist De La Salle, aim to mold the DLSC community to be deeply rooted in the Christian and Lasallian values.
Vision
We envision a Lasallian community living perfectly the Lasallian core values of faith, zeal for service and communion in mission and well-integrated Gospel Values in each individual's life as Christians and as Lasallians.
Mission
The Campus Ministry Unit leads DLSC in fostering a faith community and in making visible the religious identity of the institution. It nurtures the spiritual development of students, specifically the college students through recollections and retreats. It provides avenues as well as opportunities to encounter God in deep prayer and worship and to develop a conscience rooted in biblical/gospel values.
Objectives
