Everyone is called to share in the mission of love and communion with those who need help in our society. Advent Wreath-Making Contest Launched

In the spirit of the Christmas Season, DLSC launched the Advent Wreath-making contest among identified offices/units last December 4. A wreath was assigned to each identified office/unit and all entries were encouraged to use indigenous and recycled materials. In addition, the use of lights and/or any component that will be using electricity was also discouraged as part of the energy conservation efforts of the school.

Christmas Season at DLSC

The Christmas Season has officially started at DLSC with the lighting of the 1st Advent candle at the main lobby of the Milagros V. del Rosario Building on December 3, 2007. Sponsored by the College department, college faculty members and students led the community in prayers and singing of Christmas songs to mark the beginning of the Advent Season. College Dean Dr. Arnulfo Azcarraga delivered a message on the history of the lighting of candles during Advent Season and the significance for the continuance of this practice as part of the Catholic tradition. Simultaneously, a lighting of the 1st Advent candle was also done at the Learning Community 1 led by Lasallian Ministry Office head, Mr. Mel Oribe.
